Billy Hussein (Bodypunch Boxing Gym) will put on his second fight night of 2011 on Saturday night-15th October, 2011 at the Orion Function Centre, Campsie, New South Wales. Paul “Showtime” Fleming was originally due to fight for the Australian Featherweight title but after some niggling injuries in training he was pulled out of the bout and will now fight twice in Sydney before the end of the year.
In the main event Hassan El Husseini (3-1-1) will face South Australian up and comer, Mark Dalby (2-3-0) over 4 rounds at Light Middleweight. El Husseini is coming off a convincing points win over Stavros Karanicolas in April while Dalby defeated the experienced Benny Horra in an unanimous decision which was shown on the Zappavigna vs Diaz-Friday Night Fights show in August.
In the co-feature bout, Tony “The Irish Psycho” Bates (2-0-0) will face Troy Glover (0-8-0) who is still looking to record his first win. Bates is ready to register a tough shift despite billing his next opponent as tough and durable the Irish Physco is confident he can add another victim to his record. Bates spoke to Irish-Boxing.com earlier in the week and said: ”All I am doing at the minute is focusing on taking one fight at a time. I am fighting Troy Glover. I wouldn’t say its a step up in class but he is more experienced than my previous opponents with 70 amateur and 8 pro bouts. Although he hasn’t won one, he still comes to fight and doesn’t lay down easily.”
On the undercard:
Perth boxer, Albert “Go Loco” Howell (3-0-1) takes on Filipino, Ariel “King Kong” Omongos (8-19-0) at Light Middleweight. Omongos without a win since 2009 fought Todd Kidd in Queensland earlier on in the year in an Australian Fight Series show where he lost in a 3rd round TKO. While Albert got past Mark Dalby (who is fighting in the main event) in a 4 round unanimous decision in July.
All making their professional debuts.
Ahmed Dib will face Aaron Mcallister over 4 rounds at Middleweight.
Dylan Emery takes on Trent Hudson over 4×2 rounds at Welterweight
Cruiserweights, Oktay Kizilkaya and John Argus will battle over 3×2 rounds.
